Turning a pile of friction into ranked opportunities
① Categorize — sort the raw friction
② Consolidate — merge the duplicates
③ Score — ranked by opportunity, with the receipts
The opportunity score
Every problem gets a number you can defend
Not an AI hunch — an opportunity score built from what your team actually reported. It shows its work, so “fix this next” is a case, not a vibe.
How many people hit it — every distinct report plus every vote.
Pure arithmetic. No model decides this: it’s a count of voices, with diminishing returns so ten reports beat one.
How much it hurts — read from the strongest report in the cluster.
The AI only extracts and points at the exact words that justify it. You always see the quote behind the number.
How sure we are — driven by how many independent reports agree.
One lone complaint stays a hunch; the more sources corroborate it, the higher it climbs. This is what stops the loudest voice from winning.
Reach and confidence are counted, not guessed. Impact is grounded in a real quote. That’s how a room full of complaints becomes a ranked list you can act on tomorrow.
One board, every voice
Feed it from everywhere
Problems don't only surface in meetings. Whatever the source, every report lands in the same pipeline — categorized, deduplicated, and ranked together.
The friction teammates hit every day, typed in seconds — the monster classifies, clusters and scores each one on the spot.
Drop the in-app widget on your site and customers report friction right where they feel it — no account needed.
Paste a batch of reviews — yours or a competitor's — and it mines the real problems out of the praise and feature requests.
Feed it a meeting transcript, retro, or survey dump — every distinct problem is extracted and joins the same board.

FAQ
Fair questions
What happens if someone types a solution instead of a problem?
The monster eats it anyway. It spots solution-shaped entries, digs out the problem underneath, and files that — ranked low until real evidence backs it up. Nothing anyone submits is refused or lost.
How does the ranking work?
Every cluster gets an opportunity score: reach × impact × confidence. Reach and confidence are counted from real reports and votes — never guessed by a model — and impact is grounded in a quote from the strongest report. Every score shows its work.
Where do our problems go? Is AI trained on them?
Your data belongs to your organization. Submissions are processed by Anthropic (Claude) for classification and OpenAI for clustering embeddings, via the Vercel AI Gateway — both only to provide the service, and neither trains models on your text. You can request deletion at any time.
How do problems get in besides typing them?
Four ways: teammates type them in the app, customers report through an embeddable in-app widget (no account needed), and on Pro you can paste review batches to mine or feed whole documents — transcripts, retros, survey dumps. Everything lands on one deduplicated board.
Is this a public feedback board or roadmap?
No — it's a private triage and prioritization tool for your team. You choose what leaves the room: Pro lets you share a read-only board or export the ranked Friction Report when you want to show your work.
What does it cost?
The free plan runs the whole loop — capture, clustering, scoring, triage — with up to 20 problems a day across your team, no credit card required. Pro is $79/month per workspace and Max is $299/month for market-research scale.
Ready to turn your team’s problems into opportunities?
The Problem Monster eats the friction your team hits every day, digs the real problem out of premature solutions, and ranks the highest-value opportunities worth acting on — with the evidence behind every one.
